Not at all. Our Styling Tours are for anyone with a love of interiors, design and beautiful spaces. You might be renovating, furnishing your home, working in the industry or simply looking for a day of inspiration. No design experience is required.
-
Think of it as part styling masterclass, part design tour and part very good day out. We’ll visit some of our favourite interiors destinations, step inside a private home, share styling and sourcing advice, shop, eat and talk all things interiors along the way.
-
Quite a bit. Sydney Styling Tours are primarily explored on foot through Surry Hills and surrounding areas, with a short vehicle transfer where required. Comfortable shoes are essential.
-
Your ticket includes the full-day hosted tour with Lucy and Jono, all scheduled visits and experiences, a private home tour, styling advice throughout the day, morning coffee and pastries, lunch and a glass of bubbles to finish. Personal purchases and additional food and drinks are not included.
-
Please do. One of the best parts of the day is having access to Lucy and Jono’s experience. Bring photos, plans or questions about a room, renovation, furniture choice or styling dilemma and we can talk through it with you throughout the day.
-
Absolutely. Shopping and sourcing are part of the experience, and some stores may offer special benefits to guests on the day. For larger purchases, we recommend arranging delivery directly with the retailer.
-
We’ll collect dietary requirements before the tour and work with our venues to accommodate them wherever reasonably possible. If you have a serious allergy, please let us know when booking so we can discuss it with the venue in advance.
-
The tour goes ahead in most weather. If conditions are unsafe, we may adjust timings, transport or parts of the itinerary. We’ll always prioritise giving you the best possible experience.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Not at all. Our retreats are designed for anyone who loves interiors, food, creativity, beautiful spaces and experiencing a destination through a design lens. You don’t need to be a designer or stylist to join us.
-
Absolutely. Many guests join our experiences independently. The groups are intentionally small, making it easy to get to know everyone over the three days.
-
Your retreat includes two nights of boutique accommodation in Hobart, transport during the retreat, all scheduled visits, workshops and experiences, and the meals outlined in the itinerary. Flights, airport transfers, personal purchases and any additional food or drinks outside the itinerary are not included.
-
The standard retreat price is based on twin-share accommodation. If you’re travelling with someone, you can nominate who you’d like to share with. If you’re joining us solo, we’ll pair you with another guest. If you’d prefer your own room, a limited number of solo upgrades are available for an additional fee.
-
The retreat includes a combination of private transport and walking at our destinations. You should be comfortable spending periods on your feet, navigating shops, homes, gardens and public spaces, and getting in and out of our transport throughout the day.
-
We’ll collect dietary requirements before the retreat and make reasonable efforts to accommodate them with our restaurants and venues. If you have a serious food allergy or specific medical dietary requirement, please contact us before booking so we can confirm whether it can be safely accommodated.
-
Guests arrange their own travel to Hobart and their own airport transfers. We’ll provide the meeting point and final-day finishing details well ahead of the retreat so you can plan your flights and additional accommodation.
-
Please wait until we have confirmed that the retreat has reached its minimum guest numbers before booking non-refundable flights or additional accommodation. If you choose to book earlier, we strongly recommend flexible fares and comprehensive travel insurance.
-
We strongly recommend comprehensive domestic travel insurance covering cancellation, illness, injury, travel delays and other unforeseen circumstances. This is particularly important because our retreats involve pre-booked accommodation, restaurants, transport and private experiences.
-
You’re welcome to sit out an activity if you need some downtime, however the retreat has been designed as a complete three-day experience and we are unable to offer refunds for activities, meals or experiences you choose not to attend.
